Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.

In the mailinglist thread I already posted a debug backtrace. This backtrace showed crashes inside the fontconfig library. I just updated fontconfig 2.6.0 to 2.8.0 on Archlinux, this fixes the crash, so it's not an epiphany or webkit bug. File a bug with your distribution about crashes in their packaged fontconfig version.
