Description Guido 2009-11-10 16:19:20 UTC
I set up a new local maildir folder and moved all mail from standard Evolution inbox to this new folder.

If I want to access the folder by clicking on it "checking folder consistency" runs forever (stays at 5%). It's still possible to Evolution. But it is not possible to close the program.

Let me know if you need more details.

BTW:
 - It did work (for a few days after initial set up)
 - Folder can still be accessed using mutt
 - Folder contains a few thousand mails

it's a dupe of bug 592310

Please see
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=592310#c15 but fix is available in 2.28.x only, it wasn't back ported in 2.26.x.
Comment 2 Guido 2009-11-11 16:05:21 UTC
Ok. This is obviously the same bug. I am not sure weather it's worth it to back port the bug fix.

Thanks
Comment 3 Akhil Laddha 2009-11-12 05:08:24 UTC
Guido, patch wasn't back ported purposefully. It hadn't been tested properly so we didn't want to take risk with stable.
