Make this an important (confirmed) bug.

I use the Adium Matte theme which does not show the name of the person who said something.
That makes sense for single user chats, since you know who you are (the right person) and who the other one is.

For MUC (= IRC in my case) I can't see who says what, which make it unusable.

In combination with https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=626140 would make IRC quite usable for empathy
