3.pdf

Simply open attached pdf file, click on "print" and select pages from 1 to 4.
Then, click on print preview. You will see that preview is done for full file
instead of only selected pages to print. This can be unpleasant when reading a
big pdf file

Thanks

Sorry, I selected wrong product, how can I change assignement? Thanks
Comment 2 Emmanuel Fleury 2009-11-09 11:51:52 UTC
Confirmed in Evince 2.29.1 (git master) with poppler 0.12.0 (git master).

In fact, it does that for any PDF file, not only the one attached here.

It seems that parameters that restrict the printing are just ignored. However, when asked to print only pages 1-4, the printing progress bar will display the progress as we ran only through 1-4. This is really confusing.

Hi Pacho,

which version of gtk+ do you use? It should work since gtk+ 2.19.0.
It works for me with up-to-date gtk+ and evince.

Regards

Marek

I still have x11-libs/gtk+-2.18.3 (and sadly, I don't expect to try to update as I don't usually use gtk+/glib from their "development" branch :-/)

Pancho,

Have you had the chance to a newer Evince and Gtk+? It seems the issue is fixed.
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos 2013-02-18 18:11:11 UTC
I am still running Gnome 2.32, hopefully will switch directly to Gnome 3.8 soon :)
