Description Michael Monreal 2009-11-04 22:19:42 UTC
The ringing sound for incoming VOIP calls is great, but there should be a separate entry in the event list to turn it on or off. Right now it is not clear if any of the events listed there actually affects incoming VOIP calls (new conversation?) but I really feel this is a different thing to text messages and have it's own event listed.

The ringing sound isn't affected by these preferences as is always played. Maybe we should have an option to disable it.

This is more or less obsolete these days, and/or I suspect it would make more sense for it to work properly with gnome shell (bug #666221); see also bug #676998 for a somewhat different observation on the issue of volume control.
