Description Rob Adams 2009-11-03 21:59:10 UTC
In Banshee 1.6, when playing from the Play Queue, if you select "Stop When Finished" the expectation is that it will finish the song, advance the queue, and stop playing. However, the queue does not advance so that pressing play again repeats the last song played.

Funny you mention it. Alexander just posted a patch to Bug 563021 last night that should fix this. I haven't gotten around to testing it yet, but it will almost certainly be fixed in the next Banshee release.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

I should also mention, for the relevant part of that issue, look specifically at the most recent patch in Comment 10 of that bug report.

Just a quick note that the issue is solved only partially by the patches in bug 563021. The current song is now greyed out after it's finished but because it's still selected in the list, clicking "Play" will play it again.

To work around, double click the Play Queue source in the left pane.

Feel free to open a new bug: read bug 563021, comment 13 for details.

Per Alexander's suggestion, I opened a new bug report (bug 601538) to address the remaining issue.
