Description Jonas H. 2009-11-02 19:41:31 UTC
Rhythmbox does not remember the geometry (w, h, x, y) of widgets (sources widget, library widget, ...). They will be forgotten every time I close and then open the UI (quit the program, minimize-maximize it).

Works properly for me. Perhaps gconf is broken somehow for you. Or perhaps I didn't check the things you're thinking of because you didn't identify anything specifically.

Okay, this is on current Ubuntu:

$ dpkg -l rhythmbox
ii  rhythmbox      0.12.5-0ubuntu

I'm talking about that widget sizer bars with which you can change the size of e.g. the source widget and the browser widget.

OK, sounds like your gconf is broken. You could try using gconf-editor to watch the values in /apps/rhythmbox/state/ to see if they're being updated properly, I guess.
Comment 4 Jonas H. 2009-11-02 21:53:50 UTC
Weird. Now the /apps/rhythmbox/state/paned_position key is saved correctly; however the /apps/rhythmbox/state/library/paned_position key always jumps back to 272.

I don't know how to go about finding out what's doing that, but that's what you need to do.
