 nm-applet insufficient privileges

I try to set up my DSL connection, but it reqests root pass, but after that i
get an error message:

"Error initializing Editor:insufficient privileges".

I Updated from xubuntu 9.04 to xubuntu 9.10 the final version not beta version.
See attached screenshot (this screenshot I got it from this site, this person
has the same iusse :

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/448002

PS:
I tried liveCD , I did not get this error message, I mean "Error initializing
Editor: insufficient privileges", but I could not connect to internet too.

i am sure everything is OK with my DSL."my username and my password"

I have now xubuntu 9.04 and my DSL is work good.

thank you

Is this DSL connection a system connection? Is it defined by a file in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections?

You should only get asked for the root password if you try to edit a system connection, whcih requires administrator privileges. Can you also attach your

/usr/share/PolicyKit/policy/org.freedesktop.network-manager-settings.system.policy

file? Thanks!
