Description Victor Vargas 2009-10-31 21:14:20 UTC
This report was originally filled at:
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/236767

I was able to set alt + alt-r (right alt, or graphic alt) as the window switcher, that is, instead of alt-tab. That was very ergonomic. When I upgraded, this key combination would only take me to the next window, but nothing else. And it is impossible to set the combination again.

Steps to reproduce:
1. System -> Preferences -> Keyboard shortcuts
2. Window Management -> Move between windows with pop up
3. Click on the accelerator, to re-set it.
4. Press alt and alt-r or alt-gr.

Nothing happens. No accelerator is set. alt+alt-r should be set. It was set and worked properly in the previous version of Ubuntu and I loved it.

Thanks.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
