Description scinti 2009-10-31 14:56:55 UTC
As the title say, Evolution automatically erase my message in my inbox after 7 days.
I have many accounts, some of them are imap and the others are pop. The one I'm talking about is the most important one for my work, and is an imap account.
It's the second time this happens, and I don't know how to fix it.
I use to have hundreds of message since 2 years, and now I only have 40 from the past 7 days. I looked in all the options, and then I searched or weeks on forums and google, but I coudn't find anything. I hope anybody can help me.
Thank you
scinti

Hey I think this is not a Bug...

@scinti: Have you clicked the option: "Delete after 7 Days" from the properties account?.
Look in -> Edit -> Preferences -> Select POP or IMAP Account -> Press the button Edit -> Tab Receiving Options -> check button "Delete after 7 days", this option is activate?

I waited for your answers, Thank

I don't have that option because I'm using an IMAP account, I have it on the other pop.

Uh. Scary bug. Anyway, reopening as the requested information has been provided.

scinti:
Is this still a problem in a recent version (3.2 or 3.0)?

Do you have enabled "Edit ▸ Preferences ▸ Mail Accounts ▸ Edit ▸ Receiving Options ▸ Automatically synchronize remote mail locally" for this account?

That is the output if you right-click on the folder name in the folders list on the left and choose "Properties", or where does this come from?

Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer
version of Evolution.
