My MSN contact groups don't get imported into Empathy. Gtalk groups work just fine.

Should be fine. What happens exactly? Your MSN contacts appear but they don't have any group?

I meant, version 2.28.1.1 of empathy.  telepathy-butterfly remains on 0.5.2-0ubuntu1.
