Binary package hint: empathy

pidgin does that but in empathy. it don't show the number of people logged into an irc channel but it should and seems that its really simple to implement?
Comment 1 Guillaume Desmottes 2009-10-26 10:02:44 UTC
Agreed. I'd like to have an UI similar as xchat-gnome's one showing that.
Comment 2 Omer Akram 2010-03-22 15:09:55 UTC
I am the downstream reporter of this bug, this feature is necessary in IRC to know how many people are in the channel
Comment 3 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2012-08-26 03:56:59 UTC
Hi,
This feature request is beyond the scope of Empathy's core set of features, and the developers don't necessarily have time to implement features like these. Feel free to provide a patch for it, however.

My personal opinion/my 2¢: I don't care about the amount of users in a channel. I care about *who* is in that channel.
