empathy may sometimes show text that is cut off, either the upper half or lower half of a line may be cut off. I will simply attach a screenshot.

in every custom theme provided with empathy the first character of the name and last character of time stamp is eaten

in empathy 2.29.5 last character problem is fixed but the first character is still a bit eaten. although when a contact is using avatar image that image is not eaten

I dont see the bug in empathy 2.31.5
