Description Arky 2009-10-21 16:58:30 UTC
A blind user requested an option to hear the default button in a dialog box. He mentioned that JAWS announces the default button if you do INSERT+E
Comment 1 Joanmarie Diggs (IRC: joanie) 2009-10-21 17:19:41 UTC
This is already in place. Try:

1. Launch Gedit

2. Get into the Find dialog

3. Type some text

4. While still in the text entry, press the command to read the status bar or default button (Orca+KP_Enter 2x quickly if you're using the Desktop layout)

Note that in order for this feature to work, there has to be a default button which has to be exposed to us as a default button. In dialogs where this is not the case, bugs should be filed against those apps.
