Description Guillaume Desmottes 2009-10-21 11:40:39 UTC
At some point the accounts dialog should live in its own process.
Comment 1 David Siegel 2009-10-21 16:27:53 UTC
I was thinking a lot about this lately. It would be amazing to have a GNOME "Accounts" application where the user can enter details about email accounts, IM accounts, microblogging, etc., then applications like Pidgin, Evolution, Thunderbird, Gwibber, Empathy, etc. can all reuse this account information. I enter my Google Talk account info once, then I can pick /any/ available chat application and just run with it.

This would benefit users tremendously, and cut down on a lot of duplication of effort.

This should be easy to split out and register as a capplet so it appears in Preferences.
