GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 598351
use an info area to offer undo options
Last modified: 2010-02-03 22:56:07 UTC
We should be forgiving of user slips. Most actions taken should be reversible. We should offer an option to undo certain actions, such as, removing an item from the application well. Sep 25 17:06:31 <mccann> a bubble that says ( Firefox has been removed from favorites [undo] ) or similar Sep 25 17:06:40 <mccann> centered over the workspace switcher Sep 25 17:06:53 <mccann> halfway between the top panel and the switcher I guess Sep 25 17:07:12 <walters> one thing to consider, i'm not sure if you have, is that there's a big difference at the moment between favorite+running and favorite+not running Sep 25 17:07:23 <mccann> in a round cornered box that extends across the entire width Sep 25 17:07:25 <walters> if you un-favorite a not-running at the moment it vanishes Sep 25 17:07:30 <mccann> with a grayish background Sep 25 17:07:31 <walters> but a running stays of cousre Sep 25 17:07:40 <walters> yeah, that sounds good though Sep 25 17:07:56 <mccann> we can also use it for clearing history Sep 25 17:08:07 <walters> history = recent docs? Sep 25 17:08:20 <mccann> the bubble should stay up for 30 seconds or until I leave the overview - whichever is longer Sep 25 17:08:39 <mccann> yes I can try to do a mockup of this soon.
