GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 598305
Use Exif data to rotate inlined photos
Last modified: 2010-01-09 04:51:32 UTC
When displaying photo attachments in e-mails, Evolution should make use of embedded Exif information about orientation of the photo. Since there is no way to rotate inlined photo attachmends in Evolution, it’s very annoying to view photos that aren’t properly rotated. Eog uses the orientation information and rotates photos accordingly. Evolution should do the same when displaying photo attachmends.
Good idea. Would be even nicer if Eog provided reusable widget library that we could reuse, like Evince now does.
