Description Jonathan Ernst 2009-10-12 13:46:49 UTC
Steps to reproduce :

1) write a new mail in Evolution
2) select part of one line
3) right click to show contextual menu

Expected result :

selection is kept and it is possible to choose "copy" from the menu

Actual result :

selection is lost

Note that if selection contains the beginning of the line it works.

I can reproduce it in plain text, html in Evolution 2.26 and 2.28

It seems to work fine for me in 2.28.0
Comment 2 Jonathan Ernst 2009-10-13 11:31:56 UTC
Can someone else try to reproduce it?

I have had several people/devs using Ubuntu
(Jaunty and Karmic) reproduce this bug and they told me that no Ubuntu specific patch could trigger this bug in their opinion.

Thanks

I tried on actual master, which is I believe pretty same as 2.28 in this area (GtkHTML), and I see this. Exactly as you said, when I have selected only few words from a line, then pressing right-click, even with move above the selection, deselects it. Maybe related to spelling, maybe not. Nonetheless, confirming.
