GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 598140
Please remember bluetooth on/off setting
Last modified: 2014-08-27 13:51:16 UTC
Forwarding from Debian Bug #550667. Package: gnome-bluetooth Version: 2.28.1-1 Severity: normal "I rarely use bluetooth devices, so I turn bluetooth off until I need it. Every time I start my system up again and log in again, I manually turn bluetooth off again. I'd like gnome-bluetooth to remember whether I last had bluetooth off or on, and use that same setting the next time." Looks like gnome-bluetooth is unable to save his status after rebooting a certain system, would be nice to have this investigated.
This isn't gnome-bluetooth's job, but bluetoothd (part of bluez).
thanks for the information, gonna forward this to bluez then.

Please change this bug's product to bluez (as asked in comment 1 ).
bluez isn't GNOME software, so it's not on the GNOME bugzilla.
Where can I find the bugtracker for bluez?
There's no bug trackers. You can try filing it against your distribution, or sending a mail at linux-bluetooth@vger.kernel.org. Though I wouldn't expect much sympathy from the mailing-list (read the archives on the subject).
OK, you can follow the discussion at http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.kernel/4287
It appears this has been reborn at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=638117 for anyone wanting more info.
