This bug is being reported against the latest git master ( 0.8.x ) running on an Ubuntu Karmic Beta system with Atheros ( ath9k ) Wi-Fi.

If a user clicks "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network...", if they use change the "Connections" combo from "New", to a saved *secure* network, the key / passphrase for the selected network is not retrieved, so the "Connect" button is never enabled.

If on the other hand, the network selected is open, then the button is enabled.

This is an upstream report for a problem reported in Ubuntu.  For further details, please see:

Also, I'm a bit unclear about why "Connections" shows all saved connections?

I guess the only reason I could come up with is that you might want to use the saved connection if you decided to disable SSID broadcast on an AP.  In this case, you wouldn't have to re-enter the saved details.
