Description benh 2009-10-06 03:07:52 UTC
Hi !

This is evolution 2.28.0 from current ubuntu karmic, running on i386, using my database migrated from various previous versions of evo.

Since my db was getting enormous, I decided to do some spring cleaning, and thus trashed dozens of thousands (if not hundreds) of messages. So far so good.

However, when trying to expunge, it goes to "Storing folder xx%" for a little while, then stops with a "error while expunging folder" message in the status bar. Clicking that gives an alert with something like that:

<<
Error storing '~/.evolution/mail/local/Archive (mbox)': Error storing '~/.evolution/mail/local/MacDev (mbox)': Error storing '~/.evolution/mail/local/darwin/announce (mbox)': Error storing '~/.evolution/mail/local/darwin/drivers (mbox)': Error storing ....
>>>

I'm stopping there, the list is so big the alert is bigger than my screen as
it seems to list every folder on the machine, and doesn't actually provide an
error cause.

I've tried vacuuming then removing all the .db files, but that didn't help

The camel log doesn't seem to contain any obvious error. I can't really attach it sadly as there's some confidential stuff in there (some of my folders have names related to confidential products), contact me privately to maybe organize something here, I might be able to snip out the interesting bits.

There's 3 accounts on that setup, 1 POP3 with lots of folders and most of the stuff in, and 2 IMAPs.

camel debug log

I disabled the IMAP accounts, problem still occurs but the log no longer
contains confidential stuff :-) So here it is. I haven't spotted anything
that looks like an error in there but I'm not familiar with that stuff
neither.

If necessary, I can rebuild it from source and add debugging or track things
with gdb but I would need some guidance here as I'm not familiar at all with
evo internals.
