GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 597362
vertical separator in alt-tab switcher is not visible enough
Last modified: 2011-02-09 18:00:32 UTC
As mentioned in my review on IRC I don't like the white separator at all. Probably 0x80808066 or similar is better.
The following fix has been pushed: dc99e8f [AppSwitcher] Change separator color

Especially with the new large icons this ends up as a barely visible gray hairline. Doesn't work for me. (I can't screenshot it since you can't screenshot the alt-tab dialog ... maybe we should hack that in.)
Well actually you *can* make a screenshot of the alt+tab dialog, just hit print-screen while holding alt. It behaves a little weird but it works.
Created attachment 144895 [details] New separator Here is a screenshot of the app separator with the new switcher. The red arrow shows a visible "hole" in the separator (due to having a black zone behind), which looks like a bug. The underlined labels are fuzzy texts that are not relevant to this bug, sorry.
Now that bug 598651 is fixed, experimenting and fixing this one should be pretty easy.
Presumably we're not changing this at this point.
