Description Andres 2009-09-30 04:43:34 UTC
It takes some seconds (more than 1 sometimes) to take effect on volume change every time I set it uo ir down. This problem also remains on previous versions of Banshee.

I thought it used to happen in Rhythmbox as well, so I didn't think that it was a Banshee-specific problem, but I just tested it in Rhythmbox, and things work as expected.

I can confirm this in git, but I don't think that this is a major bug. There isn't a major loss of functionality, it's just pretty annoying.

This bug is a duplicate of bug 574882, which has been marked as a duplicate of a GStreamer bug. If you say that Rhythmbox doesn't have this problem, maybe they workarounded the problem?

Rhythmbox definitely doesn't have the delay anymore. Totem also doesn't have the delay (do they use gstreamer for sound?). Also, Gnome's sound preferences have volume sliders for each open application. Adjusting Banshee's slider in this window updates the volume in real-time.
