For some vocabularies and/or languages, the hyphen should be considered part of the word, so that the spell checker plugin passes the whole word (and not each of the sides of the hyphen) to Enchant.

Aspell, and recently Hunspell vocabularies can set the hyphen as a word character. In Bug #383706, Dominic Lachowicz says ICU should be used to determine how to split text in words.
