GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 595835
Clear History Action Needed in Totem
Last modified: 2009-09-21 14:53:29 UTC
As of 2.26.1, If a user wants totem to be able to delete the recently used files history, s/he must unintuitively go to Places and delete the history there. Totem needs integration with the recent history so that from the native program it is possible to delete the entries. A user would probably expect to be able to go to File>Clear History. Thank you.
Given that the recently used files are shared across the desktop, it doesn't seem like a good idea to me. No other apps have such a concept when using recent-files. Feel free to discuss this on the usability, desktop-devel, or GTK+ lists if you want closure.
I'm sorry, but what other programs even utilize the Recent Documents? I've never come across any other programs that do.
Evince, gedit, GIMP, gthumb, eog, file-roller, vinagre. And that's just on top of my head.
Understood. Thanks for clearing that up. I'd forgotten about gedit, but I didn't know about the others
