Description Cornwall 2009-09-21 14:11:33 UTC
As of 2.26.1, If a user wants totem to be able to delete the recently used files history, s/he must unintuitively go to Places and delete the history there. Totem needs integration with the recent history so that from the native program it is possible to delete the entries.

A user would probably expect to be able to go to File>Clear History.

Thank you.

Given that the recently used files are shared across the desktop, it doesn't seem like a good idea to me. No other apps have such a concept when using recent-files.

Feel free to discuss this on the usability, desktop-devel, or GTK+ lists if you want closure.

I'm sorry, but what other programs even utilize the Recent Documents? I've never come across any other programs that do.
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2009-09-21 14:50:18 UTC
Evince, gedit, GIMP, gthumb, eog, file-roller, vinagre.

And that's just on top of my head.

Understood. Thanks for clearing that up. I'd forgotten about gedit, but I didn't know about the others
