Description mikey 2009-09-20 13:48:29 UTC
I'm using electricsheep screensaver with gnome-screensaver. This particular screensaver allows keypresses (for voting) however gnome-screensaver does not allow a screensaver to handle its own keypresses. They have tried applying patches to gnome-screensaver but this seems a poor solution (and is not currently working). There may be other screensavers with a similar problem.

****Could there be a process own keypresses flag in whatever config file registers a screensaver with gnome-screensaver?

I would like to have this functionality too.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
