Description Jack 2009-09-18 08:50:55 UTC
To reproduce the problem.

1) open bashee
2) connect to a DAAP share (I use an auto-discovered one)
3) logout without closing banshee
4) login
5) reopen banshee
6) connect to the same DAAP share as before
7) at this stage all tracks and playlists on the DAAP share appear twice.

The problem can be solved by disconnecting and reconnecting the DAAP share.

My guess as what is happening.
It seems that Banshee caches all of the tracks and playlists from the DAAP share and clears this on closing/disconnection from the DAAP share. If logout occurs it seems that the program is terminated rather forcably and this process does not happen. The original DAAP cache still exists when Banshee is opened the second time and when the share is reconnected the cache is not cleared but appended such that everything appears twice in the UI. I seems that this could be fixed if the "cache" is cleared, if it exists, just before connection to a DAAP share.
