GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 595304
Use cubic volume when PA is in use
Last modified: 2009-10-19 14:47:03 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #567660 +++ ... with the new API in gst-plugins-base 0.10.25
This is only indirectly related to PA. Whenever you know the actual attenuation factor of a volume value you should present it in a cubic scale on the screen. pulsesink is just one provider of the new interface that makes this easier to do. That cubic volumes are user-friendly and linear volumes are not is a truth that doesn't change whith the backend you use.
