GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 595177
freezing UI on playing most songs (both from Library and podcast issues)
Last modified: 2009-09-14 20:28:48 UTC
Created attachment 143153 [details] output of rhythmbox -d when UI got frozen When I play most of the songs in my rhythmbox UI freezes and rhythmbox cannot be controlled anymore (sound plays, but there is the window is not redrawn anymore, so after clicking on the status bar icon the window is only grey rectangle; right clicking on the status bar icon, doesn't give a menu). Freezing depends on the file you try to play. There is one MP3 file which doesn't make RB freeze, but otherwise I haven't managed to find any regularity in what freezes and what not (both OGG and MP3 freeze). Attaching couple of logs I generated: * rhythmbox-*-debug.txt -- outputs of rhythmbox -d both when RB froze and when it didn't * rhythmbox-backtrace-* -- when the UI was frozen, I killed the process with kill -6 and then generated backtrace from the coredump.

Either disabling replaygain or enabling crossfading will stop this from happening. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 594728 ***
