Description Tomasz Chrzczonowicz 2009-09-12 06:17:00 UTC
It would be awesome to have autocompletion in both task and memo quick-add table fields.

It' already implemented in the task/memo creating/editing window and it's a huge time saver, so why not in those quick-add fields?
Comment 1 Matthew Barnes 2009-09-13 17:01:09 UTC
I'm not sure what autocompletion you're talking about. The only autocompletion in the task and memo editors is the categories field, but that does not pertain to the quick add field. Can you elaborate please?
Comment 2 Tomasz Chrzczonowicz 2009-09-13 17:21:59 UTC
Yes, I meant category field autocompletion.

By "does not pertain do the quick add field", do you mean it's unsuitable? I think it would be a great enhancement to have category autocompletion in the quick-add field.
Comment 3 Matthew Barnes 2009-09-13 21:45:14 UTC
I think I understand what you mean now. You have the Categories column show and the quick-add field allows you to type in both the Summary and Categories field before creating the task or memo.
Comment 4 Tomasz Chrzczonowicz 2009-09-13 22:35:24 UTC
Yes, exactly. And having autocompletion there would be awesome.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
