Description Michael Chudobiak 2009-09-10 18:14:54 UTC
There is currently no "move" command in the context menu. I miss that feature.

the move command is not planned at the moment, you can use cut and paste to move files.
Comment 2 Michael Chudobiak 2009-09-22 11:48:14 UTC
Hmm, perhaps you could rethink that, particularly with the limited folder formatting choices in the importer.

People will want to move files as soon as they are imported. It's a common operation.

Cut and paste works, but it is not as convenient.

Importer folder choice is fixed now ;-)
But true, the move command should exist, gotta wait...
Comment 4 Jo Wyta 2010-09-02 09:19:34 UTC
This is a show stopper for me. This is not an enhancement, the facility used to be present and in the features it says:
"Copy, move, delete images and folders."

Severity should be at least normal and I hope the priority can be raised.

Cut and paste hardly works, it involves copying files into the paste buffer and does it move any associated comments?

A simple "move" command would greatly aid one to manage their photos. I often have many pictures in a single directory that I want to put in several others - cutting and pasting and going back and forth between folders is terribly time consuming.

I love the improvements in the 2.11 and .12 series compared to the old 2.10, but I cannot use them without this simple function.
Comment 6 Michael Chudobiak 2011-01-05 20:26:56 UTC
Fixed in git master. This will appear in the series after 2.12.x.
