Description Jens Granseuer 2001-08-22 20:01:29 UTC
Package:	balsa
Version:	1.2.pre1
Severity:	grave

>Originator: Jens Granseuer (jensgr@gmx.net)
>Organization:
net
>Synopsis:	balsa hangs when sending mail if compiled without libesmtp support
>Class: sw-bug
>Gnome-Libs-Release: gnome-libs-1.2.4
>Environment:

System: Linux fizz 2.4.9 #1 Mon Aug 20 21:41:39 CEST 2001 i686 unknown
Architecture: i686

>Description:
I compiled balsa without libesmtp. Up to 1.1.6 (didn't try 1.1.7) this worked
fine and mail would be passed to sendmail and put in my local spool directory,
which is processed every time I connect to the internet.
Now, when hitting the send button (or the "Send queued mail" menu item if
that option is checked), balsa will open the progress window and stay there
forever.
What's more, if you try to open the "Sent mail" folder (sometimes also other
folders) while balsa is busy that way, the program will lock up completely.

>How-To-Repeat:
Compile balsa without libesmtp, compose a mail and click the "Send" button.

Comment 1 Pawel Salek 2001-08-23 09:25:05 UTC
Could not reproduce this one with current CVS code configured with
./configure --without-esmtp --enable-ldap --enable-gtkhml

I am afraid more information is be needed to reproduce this issue.
