Comment 2 Eric Piel 2009-09-04 12:52:41 UTC
As mentioned in the duplicate, this happens with two screens and only when they are not already set to the same resolution (eg: 1280x800 and 1920x1200).
Comment 3 Alexander V. Butenko 2009-09-25 02:10:56 UTC
guys, thats actually a serious regression. You cant mirror laptop screen with external display with a bigger resolution.
Can this be fixed till 2.28.1? Something need be rolled out
Comment 4 Chris Coulson 2009-09-29 23:27:16 UTC
This one seems to be introduced by this commit: http://git.gnome.org/cgit/gnome-control-center/commit/?id=dc62815db2ea56cdb7ee6ca8b0953ef6e2774963
Comment 5 Alexander V. Butenko 2009-09-30 00:53:20 UTC
can we cc Federico to this bug? so probably he will be able to fix this till 2.28.1 release.
Comment 6 William Jon McCann 2009-09-30 03:42:30 UTC
Yeah, oops I thought he was already on the cc list.
Comment 7 Matthias Clasen 2009-09-30 13:40:53 UTC
The problem with Federicos commit is that when going to clone mode, the current mode may no longer be available, so we do need to do the 'find best available' thing, still.
