Description m.wege 2009-08-19 09:09:40 UTC
For mobile phones there are some applications (WeFi, EasyWifi and some more)
which allow to determine hotspots from certain providers like Fon.com, t-mobile
and automatically connect to them if you have an account there. It would be great to see this implemented in Network Manager and have this as database similar to the Mobile Provider Database, which allows 3G/GSM easily to be configured.
This wish was reported also downstream at KDE https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194102

May be one of the providers would sponsor this. Fon.com run their company machines on Ubuntu and have fon labs.
