Description Jan Rüegg 2009-08-17 07:14:02 UTC
When opening the gnome-display-preferences with an attached second monitor, I can drag the second monitor to the right, set the resolution of the two, and apply it, everything works fine.

Then I turn off only the second monitor (that is now on the right side) and "apply" it ("keep this configuration" when asked). Still, the second monitor is in the picture on the right side.

But now, when I turn it "on" again, the second monitor is reset and is again on top of the first one, and I have to drag it to the right before I can apply it again.

So, instead of just turning the second monitor on and off, I have to drag it to the right each time I turn it on again, _even though_ the setting that it was on the right before _is_ preserved, and only reset when you turn it on again.

It would make more sense to keep it at the previous setting...
