Description Owen Taylor 2009-08-17 01:41:46 UTC
On menubar.gnome.org, rpmforge is enabled without any restrictions. This means that we'll pick up newer packages from rpmforge for random stuff.

Our official rpmforge configuration in Puppet currently has:

 includepkgs = rpmforge-release perl-*

We need to:

 * extend the includepkgs with extra packages needed from rpmforge on menubar. See:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-infrastructure/2009-July/msg00125.html
and the follow-up from Olav.

 * Use that on menubar and in puppet [This bug is probably best done as a pre-requisite to puppetizing menubar, rather than simultaneously]

 * Remove or back down to rhel/epel versions for other packages installed from rpmforge on menubar.

menubar.gnome.org has been retired, closing this bug. In addition we won't make sure of external repositories such as rpmforge anymore given EPEL having pretty much all perl-* modules we needed at that time.
