Description Owen Taylor 2009-08-16 22:37:22 UTC
Alternative here is to move all databases to drawable and remove mysqld from Puppet, but if we don't do that, we should use the mysql::server class on button.

The configurable parameters for the class should be examined to make sure that they work on a small memory machine. I chose the defaults for a smaller machine than drawable, but I'm not sure I chose them for as as small a machine as button. (And button has other stuff on it as well ... only about 1GB of memory should be used for the database.)

I vote for moving all databases off button, beginning with wordpress stuff. Then keep button as a LDAP master machine + Mango. Only thing button would do would be low end stuff.

Button has been recycled and all the services have been migrated already to clipboard, we can therefore close this bug now.
