GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 591944
"Change Permissions" doesn't work
Last modified: 2009-08-20 16:13:58 UTC
gnome-commander 1.2.8.1 on Fedora 11 (kernel-2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.x86_64) with ext4, installed from LiveCD. "Change Permissions" doesn't work at all. Changes it to "------", i. e. "no read", "no write", "no execute". Using Nautilus, emelfm2, Midnight Commander etc, works fine.
gnome-commander-1.2.7-1.fc10.rf.x86_64 also works fine.
1.2.7 doesn't work either on FC11. In fact, the last working version on FC11 is 1.2.3
(In reply to comment #2) > 1.2.7 doesn't work either on FC11. In fact, the last working version on FC11 is > 1.2.3 The working rpm version for FC11 was found at ftp://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/pub/dag/fedora/10/en/x86_64/dries/RPMS/gnome-commander-1.2.7-1.fc10.rf.x86_64.rpm Using it now.
This problem has been fixed in our software repository. The fix will go into the next software release. Thank you for your bug report. The bug was caused by peculiar casting to (int &) - silently accepted by g++ up to 4.3.x, but exposed by g++ 4.4.0 (as present in FC11)
