This worked with an earlier version of network-manager ( which I think was not using modem manager at all ). Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
More details... This bug is being reported on Ubuntu 9.04 ( Karmic ). The versions of network-manager, -applet, and modemmanager are: network-manager: 0.8~a~git.20090804t185522.4bab334-0ubuntu1 -applet: 0.8~a~git.20090805t131328.d1edfce-0ubuntu1 modemmanager: 0.2.git.20090806t105932.354a4cb-0ubuntu3

Sorry 'bout the original description, I thought I'd be able to edit using the simple form...
Created attachment 140706 [details] Debug output from modemmanager
Addtl info from the original bug: The visible symptoms are the network manager applet just spins indefinitely with both lights green. I receive an IP and DNS nameserver information from ISP, but the connection is never fully established. 0.7.1.git.5.272c6a626-0ubuntu1 WITHOUT the modemmanager package installed is the most recent version which works for me. Right now, if I remove the modemmanager package and downgrade to 0.7.1, the device works as expected as an auto mobile broadband. Any other information I can provide to assist in debugging this please let me know.
I believe this is fixed by NM commit 3e221833da98d1d5bf60a34243961ce7049e05cd ... Please re-open if that's not the case.
