Description Stefan Ebner 2009-08-09 21:01:15 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When you start a game (xmoto, glest, nexuiz) the (TOP) panel won't
disappear

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start gnome-shell
2. Start a game (2D/3D) which starts in Fullscreen-mode
3. Game starts

Actual results:
The game starts but the (TOP)-Panel remains visible

Expected results:
Starting the game in REAL fullscreen-mode without the panel

Does this happen every time?
Yes

I have the same problem here.
Comment 3 Colin Walters 2009-08-10 03:58:14 UTC
Works for me - just tried with xmoto-0.5.1-0.fc11.i586 and gnome-shell from git.

If something's going wrong, it's most likely with js/ui/chrome.js:_windowsRestacked.
Comment 4 Owen Taylor 2009-08-10 11:18:44 UTC
I can reproduce the problem *if* the resolution of xmoto isn't the same as my normal desktop resolution

 - xmoto changes the resolution of the screen
 - gnome-shell doesn't notice (bug 584526)
 - xmoto creates a window the size of the new screen
 - gnome-shell doesn't think it's fullscreen

Stefan - do all the places where you see problems involve resolution changes?

Hi Owen!

You are totally right.
Changing the resolution of the games to my desktop resolution fixes the issue.
I'm sorry for the noise since it seems as a duplicate of bug 584526.
