Description Thomas Schimpke 2009-08-07 15:22:40 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I'm using Evolution 2.26.3 with evolution-mapi-0.26.2-1 on fedora 11. I'm connected to an Exchange 2007 Server. I can see all my mesages in the inbox. But:

1. all Umlaut characters like "öäü" in the sender name or the subject are broken.
2. if I try to sent a message containig umlaut characters in the recipients name, subject or the message body the message will not be sent. It's just sitting in the Outbox Folder and Evo says: "Error while sending message."

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new message
2. add umlaut char into the subject/body
3. try to sent

Actual results:
Message will be stored in the Outbox Folder. The message will never be sent

Expected results:
Message should be sent.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I can try to debug this a bit further - I simply have no clue where to start looking.

I looked a bit closer at the already reported bugs. The display problem has probably been described in Bug 569321
