Description Jo-Erlend Schinstad 2009-08-05 23:56:34 UTC
In Evolution 2.26.x, you can enable syncing of contacts with Pidgins address list. Now that Telepathy/Empathy is taking over for Pidgin, I think we should be able to sync contacts between Evolution and Empathy as well/instead.

Getting the contacts from Telepathy shouldn't require that much work, I think, but it would be a very welcome feature.

Hmm, the telepathy lib is quite large. Any idea how to get contacts and their information? The sample code (or even better a patch for evo) might be the best option :)

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
