Epiphany cannot connect to host. Wireshark reports no activity related
Last modified: 2009-07-31 01:52:50 UTC
Please describe the problem: Epiphany from time to time reports: Unable to load page Problem occurred while loading the URL http://lkml.org/ Cannot connect to destination Steps to reproduce: ??? On some pages it happens Actual results: Display of: Unable to load page Problem occurred while loading the URL http://lkml.org/ Cannot connect to destination Despite - No network activity (check by wireshark) related including DNS queries, HTTP connects etc. - I can open it by elinks Expected results: Webpage? Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
lkml.org has an IPv6 address, and you're on Debian (I'm guessing), which for some reason does not sort getaddrinfo results the way every other distro does, and so sometimes you get the IPv6 address listed first, and libsoup is broken and doesn't try the second address if the first address fails. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 526321 ***
