GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 589903
alarm only starts exactly at given time; not shown when computer was off
Last modified: 2012-01-28 18:46:23 UTC
Please describe the problem: If i set an alarm for an appointment, let's say 5 hours before the appointment starts than the alarm only happens exactly 5hours before the appointment. If the computer doesn't run at this point of time and you log in somewhen later (but still before the appointment starts) you will get no reminder. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set up an apointment with an alarm time (e.g 1hour before) 2. Shutdown your PC 3. Login when it is less than 1 hour left until the appointment Actual results: You will get no reminder Expected results: I would expect to get a reminder for the upcomming appointment Does this happen every time? yes Other information:
I don't know if this maybe is a duplicate of bug #337824 .
This bug is still unconfirmed. I made a mistake and changed it's status to new. I'm sorry.
(In reply to comment #1) > I don't know if this maybe is a duplicate of bug #337824 . > I don't think it's a duplicate of bug #337824. The alarm doesn't get removed like described in bug #337824. The porblem is, that my computer have to run exactly at the time the alarm was definded. I f I log in a few minutes later I will get no alarm but the alarm is still set correctly in Evolution.
I don't have this problem, alarms also get shown when I start my computer for the first after it was off at the defined alarm time in 2.32 / 3.2. If you have time, could you please check again whether this issue still happens in Evolution 3.2.2 or 3.0.3 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field and provide information about your distribution? Thanks a lot.
