Description Olivier Le Thanh Duong 2009-07-27 10:48:29 UTC
Empathy should propose to install the codecs necessary to make an audio/video call if they are missing via package kit

Sounds like a good idea. We could use the "gst missing codec" hook for now. Or maybe that should be done in another layer (tp-fs? fs?).
Olivier: what's your advice about this?
Comment 3 Olivier Crête 2009-08-06 14:21:45 UTC
The missing codecs stuff should probably be done somewhere deep inside farsight (thats where it knows about the needed elements) and then emit the messages.. I guess this would fall into "long term todo".. As it may require changing the internals of the codec discovery part a bit... (or maybe even a lot..)
