Description André Klapper 2009-07-25 17:12:43 UTC
GNOME 3 (2010) will completely remove libglade.
See http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/RemoveLibGladeUseGtkBuilder .
See http://www.gnome.org/~fpeters/299.html for automated statistics.

While of course it's good to see libglade being deprecated, we will not move to GtkBuilder. There are only a few extremely simple dialogs that would need to be ported, and I'd prefer to simply implement them in code.

If anyone is interested in achieving the goal of being libglade-free, the right thing to do is port the UIs to code.

Thanks for the heads up André!

Shouldn't that be closed, at least according to:

The MiniMode dialogue is not yet ported.

The MiniMode extension has now also been migrated away from libglade, so closing.
