Description Jonh Wendell 2009-07-24 17:01:47 UTC
Now we have plugin support, VNC will not the only protocol used. My idea is that each protocol has a slightly modified version of the Vinagre main icon.

Each icon will appear in the side bar, bookmark menu, and in the plugins preferences dialog.

Some other programs just offer the same main icon with a word "VNC", or "SSH" merged in the image itself.

Not a particularly elegant or eye catching icon, but perhaps it'll inspire a more talented artist to make a better one.

Proposed VNC icon

Here is my attempt, shown in context under Bookmarks (my icon is the top one, the old one is underneath it). It uses the computer with the letters "VNC" in it.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Vinagre, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vinagre/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
