GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 589579
Junk mail not being identified by spamassassin and bogofilter plugins
Last modified: 2012-09-20 19:05:56 UTC
The bug is the same for both plugins so i will describe it for bogofilter. Configuration: 1. Enabled bogofilter plugin (spamassassin plugin disabled) 2. Enabled "Check of incoming messages for spam" in the Preferences->Mail preferences->Junk 3. Default Junk plugin chosen Bogofilter (in the Preferences->Mail preferences->Junk) 4. Enabled check custom headers for Junk (in the Preferences->Mail preferences->Junk) 5. All mail accounts have enabled option for "Check new messages for Junk content". 6. All mail accounts are IMAP. One mail account POP Expected results: 1. When a new message arrives it should be piped/checked by bogofilter(or Spamassassin) and they should classify it and add their headers for that check (like X-Bogosity, X-Spam-Flag etc) 2. When ready Evolution should move the message in the respective Junk Folder if the message is Junk. Actual results: 1. No message has ever been checked by bogofilter or SA - nothing in the debug log of Evolution, nor in spamd, no check headers are ever added to the message (X-Bogosity etc) 2. No message is ever classified as Junk and ever moved in Junk folder Additional info: 1. SA and bogofilter work normally with other email clients and if invoked manually. 2. Distro is Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 3. SA and bogofilter has been "trained" for a long time. Bogofilter for example has more than 3500 entries for ham/spam
PhobosK: Sorry that this report never received attention. If this is still an issue in 3.4.2 or 3.2.3: The Bogofilter and SpamAssassin packages are installed?
LOL I have forgotten about this bug.... Anyway this problem has gone at some point in the 2.X versions.. I do not remember when exactly... 3.X series do not have it, so you may close this bug.
Thanks!
