Description Karl Eichwalder 2009-07-20 06:06:50 UTC
At flickr, you can add title, descriptions and tags to your photos.

flickr supports description (=> comment) and tags (=> tags) properly, but as a title, flickr simply provides the file name.

As of version 0.5.0.3, it does not seem to be possible to change the file name once photos are imported into f-spot from a medium. I'd like to propose to allow changing the file name after the import or adding an additional title field.

Or allow a special formatted comment and export part of it as the title. For example:

--------------------------------------------
[title: Zugspitze, seen from Garmisch]
Highest mountain of Germany (2962 m).
--------------------------------------------

Then, you'd export "Zugspitze, seen from Garmisch" as the title (plus the file name of the image, if wanted) and "Highest mountain of Germany (2962 m)." as the description.

Request for adding a title field is at bug 342217.
Renaming is bug 302566.
