Description Derek Neighbors 2001-08-11 17:27:56 UTC
Should be way to export bookmarks and have images included so that another
galeon user can import with images as well. In fact, would be nice if on
export/import you could pick and choose bookmark by bookmark what to import
and export.
Comment 1 Ricardo Fernández Pascual 2001-08-13 08:25:18 UTC
I'm not sure how should this be done...
Where will be saved the images (in a tarball? and where will they be
untarred/copied? I don't think that putting them in ~/.galeon is a
good idea)

And this can be done when using galeon native format, or at most XBEL.
Comment 2 Derek Neighbors 2001-08-14 06:43:43 UTC
Im not familiar with internals of galeon so dont know if you are
asking me or other galeon developers. If you are asking me I can tell
you what I am looking for, but I cant tell you how to implement it.

I think storage is not of ultimate concern, for the user. Just fact
that they can export out w/ images and import in with images and on
export and import define which bookmarks to import/export.
Comment 3 Yanko Kaneti 2001-08-14 07:05:33 UTC
i dont think this is something that would be appropriate to develop in
galeon land

this might come as a side benfit with woving the bookmarks operations
outside galeon and developing the functionality there

but that has not happened yet
Comment 4 Ricardo Fernández Pascual 2001-08-14 13:52:01 UTC
Iwas just asking ;-) I was not sure of what you wanted...

I agree with Yaneti (about exporting images). Adding it is not
difficult, but I'm not sure if if belongs to galeon.

About exporting only some bookmarks, I will add and option for saving
only selected bookmarks.

Comment 5 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2001-11-15 14:33:26 UTC
Exporting some bookmarks is done and the other part is WONTFIX, am I
wrong ?
Comment 6 Ricardo Fernández Pascual 2001-12-01 17:43:39 UTC
Closing this, it's very unprobable thet someone will do this anytime.
Maybe an external program could be written for this...
